$19.75 / hour Job Description Sirius Staffing is seeking a compassionate and community-focused Community Health Specialist to support public health initiatives and outreach programs in the Chattanooga area. This position plays a key role in promoting healthy lifestyles, coordinating community-based programs, providing education and outreach, and supporting individuals and families through public health resources and services. The ideal candidate is passionate about serving the community, enjoys working directly with the public, and thrives in a fast-paced environment focused on health education, prevention, and outreach.
Schedule:
M-F 8a-4p Key Responsibilities Coordinate and support public health and wellness programs within the community Conduct outreach activities, presentations, and health education initiatives Assist with case management, referrals, and coordination of care/services Build relationships with community organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and local agencies Support prevention and intervention efforts related to public health initiatives Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and program records Participate in community events, meetings, and outreach activities Assist with program planning, implementation, and evaluation Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Community Health, Human Services, Health Education, Social Work, or a related field preferred Associate degree with relevant public health or community outreach experience may be considered Experience working in community programs, healthcare, social services, or public health preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within the community Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs Valid driver's license required Preferred Experience Community outreach and public speaking Case management or care coordination Health education and prevention programs Working with underserved or diverse populations Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus Additional Information Position requires local travel and community-based work Some evening or weekend activities may be required based on outreach events Candidates must be comfortable working in various community settings Sirius Staffing is an equal-opportunity employer.
