Job Summary/Basic Functions Under the supervision of the Manager of HIV Surveillance Analyst Supervisor and direction of the HIV Surveillance Data Manager the expectations of the student worker are to:
  • Enter confidential Public Health STD and HIV data into eHARS and LMS data systems.
  • Conduct telephone record searches with other statewide public health agencies.
  • Review forms for discrepancies and ensure confidential data is managed accurately and securely.
  • Prepare and scan HIV and Hepatitis records and shred approved documents.
  • Assist with developing annual reports and additional projects relevant to the student's degree (mapping projects, etc.)
  • Complete other scanning and related tasks as requested by the HIV Data Management Program Manager and other Managers as needed.
Minimum Qualifications Type of experience required to perform the job: Familiarity with office procedures; reliability and confidentiality must be vital assets. Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently. Ability to stay focused on highly detailed tasks.
Working knowledge of office devices:
copier, printer/scanner, shredder, and collaboration tools, such as Zoom Teams, etc. Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus. Eligibility for a student worker position requires being enrolled at least part-time and in good standing at an accredited high school, junior college, college or university, or a vocational-technical school.
