Job Description

Position Summary Answers calls from team leaders during Early Voting and Election Day, provides timely operational support, documents issues, and completes data entry to help field teams receive clear and accurate guidance. Key Responsibilities Answer calls from team leaders and designated field contacts during Early Voting, Election Day, and other assigned election periods. Provide approved guidance, status information, routing support, or escalation assistance based on County scripts and procedures. Record call details, site issues, equipment concerns, supply needs, staffing concerns, or voter-service issues accurately in designated systems. Escalate urgent matters, policy questions, safety concerns, legal questions, or unresolved operational issues to the proper supervisor immediately. Track follow-up actions and ensure open issues are communicated clearly between shifts or support teams. Assist with data entry, report updates, issue logs, and other hotline support duties as assigned. Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and nonpartisan conduct during every interaction. Required Skills and Competencies Good judgment and decision-making when assessing calls, urgency, and escalation needs. Clear communication, active listening, and ability to stay calm during high-volume or urgent calls. Attention to detail and proficient computer skills for accurate data entry and issue tracking. Team-oriented approach and ability to support field staff respectfully and efficiently. Ability to remain nonpartisan and follow County-approved information only. Minimum Qualifications and Compliance Requirements Background check and drug screening required before assignment. Registered Clark County voter and willing to disclose political affiliation if required for the assignment. Must complete required hotline, issue-tracking, confidentiality, and escalation training before taking calls. Schedule and Working Conditions Call center or office environment requiring phone use, computer work, issue logging, and rapid escalation during election activity. May involve peak call volume during site opening, closing, Election Day, and major operational events. Must be available to work through the election cycle with limited requested days off. Must be available for schedule needs that may include 8-10 hour shifts, weekends, flexible start and end times, overtime, and extended hours on specific event days, especially Election Day. Must remain reliable, punctual, and responsive to assignment changes during a fast-paced, deadline-driven election environment. Must follow County security rules, workplace policies, chain-of-custody expectations, confidentiality requirements, dress code, and professional conduct standards. Performance Expectations Completes assigned work accurately, on time, and in accordance with training and County procedures. Maintains nonpartisan conduct, voter confidentiality, ballot security, and respectful service at all times. Escalates exceptions, voter issues, equipment concerns, safety concerns, and unclear instructions promptly to the designated supervisor or lead. Accurately documents work performed, materials handled, calls received, records updated, and/or batch activity as applicable to the assignment.
