• , you will support accurate and timely diagnostic services by performing cytotechnology testing and evaluating cytology specimens across designated BayCare facilities. This role requires
• flexibility
• to float as needed based on operational and staffing needs.
• Key responsibilities include:
• + Performing cytotechnology testing and screening of cytology specimens + Assisting with the preparation of cytology specimens and fine needle aspirations + Classifying and evaluating specimens and referring findings to a Pathologist as needed + Identifying abnormal or suspicious cellular findings + Maintaining laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and supply inventory + Ensuring accuracy, quality, and regulatory compliance in all testing activities + Performing other duties as assigned in support of diagnostic operations •Qualifications•Education•

Required:

• + Bachelor's degree in a related field + Bachelor's requirement may be waived if certified prior to 1985
• Experience
• + Cytotechnology experience preferred + Minimum of two (2) years of Cytotechnology experience preferred
• Licensure / Certification

• Required:

• + ASCP Certified Cytotechnologist + State of Florida licensure (or eligibility)
