Job Description

Cytotechnologist (ASCP) - Full Time, First Shift opening in Kentucky! Position Summary Join our team as a Full-Time Cytotechnologist. This first-shift role requires high accuracy in preparing, staining, and evaluating gynecological and non-gynecological specimens, including fine needle aspirations. You will work professionally with physicians, patients, and staff while maintaining strict patient confidentiality and high quality standards.
Your Key Responsibilities Microscopic Evaluation:
Screen and interpret cytologic smears and cell blocks with extreme accuracy.
Specimen Processing:
Assist with the processing of specimens collected during CT scans.
Data Management:
Input and log received specimens into the computer system with proper patient and specimen identification.
Lab Maintenance:
Manage the department's equipment maintenance schedules and monitor supply levels.
Policy Compliance:
Execute all duties in strict accordance with Laboratory guidelines.
Qualifications & Experience Education:
Bachelor's degree.
Specialized Training:
Successful completion of an accredited Cytology Program.
Certification:
Active certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) is required.
