Our client, a healthcare facility located near Baltimore MD, has a need for a Cytotechnologist to join their team. Candidates should be local as there is no relocation assistance. •They are offering a $10,000 sign on bonus•

Job Responsibilities:

Examine and interpret gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens accurately and efficiently, following established laboratory procedures. Issue final diagnoses for negative GYN cytology cases; submit all non-GYN results for pathologist review and final report release. Verify specimen acceptability and patient identification throughout all processing stages. Maintain quality control (QC) , proficiency testing, and

compliance documentation in a timely and organized manner. Assist with fine needle aspiration (FNA) procedures—prepare and stain slides for evaluation. Accurately input test requests and results into Cerner while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity. Proactively expand your technical knowledge and participate in continuing education. Communicate effectively and courteously with pathologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, contributing to a collaborative lab culture.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Medical Technology, or related field.

Experience:

1-3 years of cytology or related clinical laboratory experience.

Certification:

Cytologist (ASCP or equivalent).
