Summary of Job Function:

Performs and interprets routine and complex assays on blood, Prepares blood and blood components for transfusion to a patient, Performs blood types and antibodies identification as well as blood group antigens and compatibility, Performs all related documentation tasks, Participates in evaluating, documenting and implementation of technical assays, Provides guidance to non-certified personnel, Section III Job Qualifications, Education ,Training, Certification, Licensure Meets education and experience equivalent to the guidelines mandated by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services CMS, CLIA and the Jersey State Department of health and Senior Services NJSDHSS laws, Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology or related field, ASCP or NCA certification preferred, Benefits and Perks At RWJBarnabas Health, our market-competitive Total Rewards package provides comprehensive benefits and resources to support our employees' physical, emotional, social, and financial health.
