13 Weeks | 37.5 hrs/week
Shift & Schedule:
Day Shift Monday•Friday 9:00 AM•5:00
PM Summary:
Seeking an experienced Cytotechnologist to join a high-volume acute care laboratory. The ideal candidate will have strong experience screening gynecological and non-gynecological specimens, performing fine needle aspiration (FNA) assessments, and maintaining high standards of diagnostic accuracy.
Responsibilities:
Screen and evaluate gynecological and non-gynecological cytology specimens Perform FNA processing and immediate adequacy assessments Prepare and process cytology specimens according to laboratory protocols Utilize the Bethesda System for Cytology reporting Maintain accurate documentation and quality control standards Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to ensure timely and accurate results
Requirements:
Active New York State Cytotechnologist License ASCP Certification required BLS Certification (AHA) Minimum 3 years of Cytology experience Experience screening GYN and Non-GYN specimens (required) Experience with FNA processing and adequacy assessment (required) ThinPrep Certification required Strong knowledge of the Bethesda System for
Cytology Reporting Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cytology specimen preparation for GYN and Non-GYN testing Acute care or hospital laboratory experience

$80.00•$86.00 per hour
