Job Description

Come and work in a dental office with a positive atmosphere! We are seeking a dedicated, dependable and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our boutique dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires proficiency in dental terminology, infection control practices, and familiarity with dental software systems. A passion for patient care and a commitment to maintaining a sterile and organized environment are essential. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Record vital signs and maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix, Open Dental or Eaglesoft systems. Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Manage appointment scheduling, including follow-ups for endodontic treatments. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and assist in ordering as necessary. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the practice. Other duties as assigned Requirements Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required. Proficiency in medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Familiarity with 3D scanners is a plus. Knowledge of medical coding practices is advantageous. Strong understanding of infection control procedures. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred.
