Job Description

Where Great Smiles (and Great Coworkers) Are Made! At Bluff Park Dental , we believe your work family should make you laugh and have your back when the suction isn't working. We're on the lookout for a Dental Assistant who's equal parts clinical rockstar and people-person. If you're the type who gets joy out of a perfect radiograph, knows how to cheer up a nervous patient, and thrives in a fast-paced but fun environment—you just might be our missing molar (aka, the perfect fit).
The Ideal Assistant Is:
Friendly and outgoing (we love a good laugh around here) Dedicated to outstanding patient service Gentle with clinical skills and chairside manner Organized, reliable, and ready to roll A team player who jumps in without being asked An excellent communicator—with patients, providers, and everyone in between Honest, compassionate, and helpful in every corner of the office Basically, a unicorn with a lead apron What You'll Be Doing (aka, your superpowers): Welcoming patients with a smile (even when it's behind a mask) Preparing rooms, instruments, and your best playlist to get the vibe right Assisting in everything from fillings to endo to "we promise it won't hurt" surgeries Taking digital dental impressions like a boss Charting and updating patient records accurately—because details matter Explaining treatment plans and consents in a way that makes patients feel seen Taking clear, correctly labeled x-rays (your radiographs don't lie) Creating temporaries Keeping rooms stocked, organized, and clean Keeping calm and suctioning on, even on busy days Supporting your doctor and team so we can all go home on time Following HIPAA, OSHA, and CDC guidelines because safety is top priority Being the kind of team member everyone wants to work with
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or GED Previous dental assisting experience preferred but not required Confidence making anterior/posterior temporaries Comfortable with digital x-rays Bonus points if you know your way around OpenDental Excellent communication, multitasking, and patient comfort skills Willingness to learn and grow
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Attention to detail Ability to juggle multiple priorities and still smile A knack for making patients feel heard and cared for Clean, efficient, and professional clinical skills Strong knowledge of infection control, sterilization, and OSHA protocols Ability to work well with others Great time management (we try to stay on schedule, not on edge) A positive mindset and the desire to grow (we love coaching—not micromanaging)
Perks & Benefits:
Competitive pay Dental care for your pearly whites Paid time off (we want you to rest!) Supportive team that feels like family (in the best way) A work culture that celebrates your wins—big and small Occasional lunch surprises, birthday balloons, and the kind of coworkers who make Mondays not-so-bad
Our Core Values:
