Dental Assistant

We are an established general dental office located in Talladega, AL. We treat every patient like family and are known for our gentle, compassionate, accommodating and friendly doctor and staff. We are looking for an extremely friendly, enthusiastic, intelligent, and hard-working person for this role. Working alongside the Doctor and Hygienist, our assistants ensure that we deliver care that is comfortable, efficient, and productive. An outgoing and friendly personality with exceptional customer service is A MUST! Prior dental experience will be required for this position. Here are some of the duties that this position will be responsible for: Providing exceptional customer service while preparing patients for treatment Accurately preparing operatories prior to each scheduled treatment Sterilizing instruments Assisting the Doctor during treatment by actively providing instruments and materials as needed Cleaning and sanitizing operatories after each treatment is completed Maintaining clean, organized, and fully stocked supplies within treatment rooms Maintain dental equipment in treatment rooms (chair, water & suction lines, light curing units, etc) Taking diagnostic records (xrays, intraoral & extraoral photos, impressions for study models, etc) Monitoring patients while administering nitrous oxide Fabricating temporary crowns Educating patients based on treatment recommendations of Doctor and postoperative care Maintaining complete and accurate documentation in patient records Preparing lab cases for delivery This is currently a full-time position.
