Job Description

Tipton & Powell Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a Dental Assistant! We invite you to join our team of highly-motivated and well-trained dental assistants! Must enjoy working with children, be reliable and dependable. RDAs are preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding customer service for the patient with excellent chair side manner. Assist the doctor with all dental procedures efficiently and accurately to help maintain the doctor's schedule. Take radiographs. Be present, engaged, and ready to work at all assigned shift times. Help clean the office and treatment rooms. Review patient charts prior to doctor arrival and log appropriate patient data during exam and treatment as well as transcribe doctor notes in patient chart. Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance. Follow safety policies and procedures. Have knowledge and understanding of dental terminology sufficient to perform your job successfully. Verify patient health history (basic health review, medications, understanding impact with dentistry) and document appropriately in patients chart. Assist with other office duties as requested or needed. Qualifications Prior RDA experience PREFERRED, Not Required (Spanish) PREFERRED, Not Required Experience with Dentrix is PREFERRED, Not Required Outstanding positive attitude and professional demeanor Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
