Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant with an awesome personality to join our dynamic dental team at all locations in NWA. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the orthodontist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual is a plus! Duties Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable experience for patients. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Take digital X-rays as needed, utilizing medical imaging equipment effectively. Manage patient records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy. Utilize dental software for scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and documenting treatment plans. Perform chairside assisting duties. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Collaborate with dental receptionists to ensure smooth patient flow within the clinic. Qualifications 1 year experience as an Orthodontic Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic is preferred. Proficient knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices. Understanding of pediatric dentistry principles; experience working with children is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members. General knowledge of prosthodontics, endodontics, general dentistry practices, and 3D scanning technology is beneficial.
