Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your energy and expertise will directly contribute to providing exceptional patient care and maintaining a smooth, efficient dental practice. In this vital role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient interactions, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages, especially in pediatric dentistry settings. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment dedicated to oral health and patient satisfaction. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, using chairside assisting techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic technique to ensure infection control standards are met. Take dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed. Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality. Support front desk operations by handling dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow efficiently. Educate patients on dental terminology, procedures, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices to promote understanding and comfort. Maintain clinical supplies inventory and ensure all equipment such as Soft Dent management systems are accurately updated for seamless workflow. Experience Previous experience is not necessary. We are willing to train the right team member. We are looking for a happy disposition. Knowledge of infection control protocols, sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice. Proficiency in operating dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines. Strong understanding of dental terminology across general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics to effectively communicate with team members and patients. Experience with Soft Dental dental software for managing patient data and scheduling is advantageous. However, we are willing to train. Ability to perform vital signs assessment when needed and support the clinical team with medical documentation requirements.
