Job Description

Dental Assistant Join our dedicated team at Canyonlands Community Healthcare Dental site(s) as a Dental Assistant, where you will play a vital role in supporting our dental professionals and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. We are committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care in a collaborative environment that values growth and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist(s) and dental hygienist(s) in the direct supervision of primary care dental services to patients. Help patients resolve minor difficulties, answer their questions, and provide directions as authorized by the dentist or dental hygienist. Serve as a chair-side assistant to the dentist or dental hygienist during procedures. Prepare operatory rooms for patient treatment following CHC protocols and the directions of dental professionals. Expose and develop dental radiographs in compliance with state regulations, laws, and CHC Dental department protocols. Perform delegated and directed independent procedures to support dental care delivery.
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assisting certification preferred. Previous experience in a dental office or healthcare setting is advantageous. Knowledge of dental procedures, radiography, and infection control protocols. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow detailed instructions. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all safety and regulatory standards.
