The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to providing exceptional dental care. As a Pediatric Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for our young patients while assisting the dentist in various procedures. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring the comfort and safety of pediatric patients. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, adhering to safety standards. Maintain accurate medical records and patient information, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients and their guardians on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling, including follow-ups and reminders, acting as a liaison between patients and the dental team. Utilize dental software for record management and billing processes. Monitor vital signs when necessary and assist in managing any medical emergencies that may arise during appointments. Experience Two years of experience in the dental field. Knowledge of anatomy, infection control procedures, medical coding, and dental imaging is required. duties is an advantage, including patient interactions and administrative tasks. Previous experience in a pediatric dental setting or similar healthcare environment is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to engage effectively with children and their families. A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and adapting to the fast-paced environment of a pediatric dental practice.
