We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented setting. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our dentists and ensuring that each patient has a positive experience. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is a must, but recent graduates of Dental Assisting programs are welcome to apply. Experience with Open Dental Must be bilingual in
English and Spanish Key Duties and Responsibilities Chairside Assistance:
Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures. Assist the dentist during various procedures, including fillings, crowns, extractions, and root canals. Hand instruments and materials to the dentist during treatments. Provide patient comfort and care before, during, and after dental procedures.
Patient Care and Education:
Welcome and seat patients, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about the procedures they are receiving. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions. Take and record medical and dental histories, as well as vital signs, as required.
Radiography and Imaging:
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) following state regulations and practice protocols. Assist in the processing and management of digital images.
Sterilization and Infection Control:
Adhere to OSHA and CDC guidelines for infection control and sterilization. Clean, sterilize, and maintain dental instruments and equipment. Ensure treatment rooms and instruments are prepared and sanitized for each patient.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records. Schedule patient appointments and manage recalls. Order and manage dental supplies and inventory. Assist with front office tasks when needed, including answering phones, billing, and greeting patients.
Additional Responsibilities:
Take on other responsibilities or special projects as directed by management to contribute to the overall success of the practice.
Certifications:
Arizona State Dental Assistant Certification or the ability to obtain one within a specified time frame. Current CPR/BLS certification.
