Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use. Assist dentists during a variety of pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental X-rays, while maintaining strict adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records accurately ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance by handing instruments, suctioning, and managing dental materials efficiently during procedures. Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and managing patient records. Skills Proficiency with dental software for managing medical records and documentation. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Experience with X-ray procedures. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with children in a clinical setting. Ability to perform chairside assisting in general dentistry procedures confidently and efficiently. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care and understanding of HIPAA compliance standards. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and collaborate seamlessly with the dental team.
