Job Overview As an OA at Capital Dental Group, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional dental care to our patients while working alongside our providers and team. You will utilize your functions to ensure smooth and efficient operations in the delivery of high-quality dental care. This position requires technical skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to delivering outstanding patient care.
Responsibilities:
Perform all duties of an Orthodontic Assistant (OA) within the scope of the license, including but not limited to chairside assisting, taking radiographs, and maintaining patient records. Assist the dentist with comprehensive orthodontic care. Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and materials for procedures. Ensure a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols and sterilization procedures. Protect patient privacy by adhering to HIPAA protocols. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Assist with scheduling and coordinating patient appointments. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and exceptional patient experience. Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and advancements in orthodontic technology.
Requirements:
Current OA license in the state of California CPR certified Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 1 year of experience as an OA (preferred) Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology Proficiency in taking dental radiographs (X-rays) Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Intermediate computer skills Detail-oriented Team player
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand up to 10 hours per day Ability to twist and turn, if needed Repetitive Motion (hands) Handling (grasping, holding) Lifting/Carrying (up to 25lbs) Pushing/Pulling (up to 25lbs)
Schedule:
Wednesday-Saturday (4 days per week, 10 hours per day)
Pay:
$18.00-$25.00 (doe) + monthly bonus
Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
