Duties Assist orthodontists during various procedures, including bracket placement, wire adjustments, and appliance fittings with precision and efficiency. Prepare treatment by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques to ensure infection control standards are met. Take dental X-rays and medical imaging using advanced equipment such as 3D scanners while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage patient records Educate patients on orthodontic care instructions, appliance maintenance, and oral hygiene practices Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and greeting patients Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with a focus on orthodontics or general dentistry preferred; familiarity with dental assisting procedures is essential. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental and orthodontic care. Proficiency in using operating systems Ability to operate dental X-ray equipment safely while maintaining aseptic technique and infection control standards.
