Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support the delivery of exceptional dental care. In this role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure infection control protocols are meticulously followed. Your proactive approach will contribute to a smooth, efficient clinic operation while providing comfort and reassurance to our patients. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly according to aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism. Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Manage patient records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance to protect patient confidentiality. Perform chairside assisting duties including taking vital signs, medical history updates, and explaining procedures to patients to ease anxiety. Support infection control protocols by adhering to strict sterilization standards and maintaining a clean clinical environment. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and coordinating with the dental reception team to optimize patient flow. Utilize dental terminology effectively to communicate with team members and educate patients about their treatments. Assist with medical imaging procedures involving 3D scanners or other advanced diagnostic tools when necessary. Maintain knowledge of general dentistry practices along with specialized fields like endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry to provide comprehensive support. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred. Proficiency with EMR system Dentrix is essential for managing patient records efficiently. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards ensures compliance and safety. Hands-on experience with dental X-ray techniques and medical imaging equipment is required. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding enhances communication within the team. Experience supporting pediatric dentistry or working with children is a plus for this role. Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge related to oral structures enhances your ability to assist effectively in complex procedures. Pay:
$17.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0 per week
