Work with Children - Pediatric Dental Assistant (RDA or DA!)

About us Our office is looking to add a cheerful, communicative and reliable dental assistant (DA or RDA) to join our expanding team. The right candidate must love working with children and be dependable. We can train everything else. We are currently hiring for 4 days per week: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays full-day (8:15 AM - 5:15 PM). Work location has free onsite parking in the building's private lot, is right off of the I-101 Ralston Exit, and is one block away from the Belmont Caltrain Station for easy access and commute. Responsibilities Welcome patients and parents in the dental office/treatment area. Take dental radiographs (Dental x-ray certificate is required) Prepare patients for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort Sterilize and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Inventory Maintain accurate patient records Skills & Qualifications Experience as dental assistant a plus, although not required. New grads welcome--we are willing to train the right person. Certification in CA infection control and dental radiography required Certification in coronal polishing and/or dental sealants preferred Basic Life Support Adequate computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable Additional certification or training, or prior experience working with children and/or customer service is an asset Be a motivated and positive team member!
