Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care in Orthodontics and/or pediactric dentistry. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including chairside assisting and four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques to ensure infection control. Take dental X-rays and perform medical imaging as needed, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize Dentrix Ascend Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols. Assist with pediatric dentistry and/or orthodontic tasks as needed, demonstrating patience and understanding with younger patients. Requirements Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred, with knowledge of dental terminology and procedures. Proficiency in taking X-rays and understanding of medical imaging techniques. Ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members while maintaining professionalism at all times. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential.
