The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting the dental team in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Xray certification is
REQUIRED.
Unfortunately, our current assistant is moving out of the area. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing four-handed dentistry support. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all instruments and materials are ready for use. Take and digital radiographs as directed by the dentist. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Manage inventory of dental supplies and assist with ordering when necessary. Requirements Proficiency in medical terminology and dental terminology is essential Familiarity with infection control practices and aseptic techniques. Previous experience in dental assisting is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is a plus.
