Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) / Dental Assistant to join our prestigious dental team. Duties Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures, including restorations, extractions, and root canals, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize efficiency. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly with proper infection control protocols. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Archy / Detntrix; document treatment details accurately and efficiently. Monitor vital signs and medical history of patients to ensure safety during procedures; update medical documentation accordingly. Provide patient education on oral health care, post-treatment instructions, and preventive practices tailored for pediatric dentistry when applicable. Support front desk operations by assisting with dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow seamlessly. Requirements Valid license as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent certification; experience as a Dental Assistant is highly preferred. Proficiency with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and dental assisting best practices. Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus. Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely and accurately; certification in radiography is required or preferred. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Capable of performing vital signs assessment and supporting medical imaging procedures when needed. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and team members across specialties like prosthodontics and endodontics.
