Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support to the dental team, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while delivering exceptional patient care. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and the ability to work effectively with both patients and staff. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring a comfortable environment for patients. Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment, adhering to aseptic techniques. Take and develop X-rays as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and treatment planning when necessary. Manage patient records using Dentrix or Epic software, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Support pediatric dentistry by providing a friendly atmosphere for young patients. Perform four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during procedures. Assist in endodontics procedures as needed, demonstrating knowledge of relevant techniques. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus. Proficient in dental terminology and procedures. Knowledge of aseptic techniques is essential for maintaining a safe environment. Experience with Dentrix or Epic software is advantageous. Ability to perform X-rays and understand the principles behind them. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients of all ages.
