The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterile and ready for use. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Manage patient records using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Epic. Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently. Perform basic administrative duties, including medical coding and billing when necessary. Maintain compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Support pediatric patients with a friendly demeanor to ensure their comfort during visits. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; familiarity with dental receptionist duties is a plus. Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is essential. Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Epic is highly desirable. Understanding of medical coding practices related to dental services is beneficial. Experience working with pediatric patients is an advantage. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while providing exceptional patient care.
