Dental Assistant

Overview Seeking a Dental Assistant. You will support dentists in providing comprehensive dental treatments, while ensuring patient comfort. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in dentistry. Duties Assist dentists during a wide range of general dentistry procedures. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly following infection control protocols. Take digital dental X-rays and 3-d scans Manage patient records. Support patients by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and ensuring their comfort throughout visits. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control standards. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient scheduling, patient flow, and accurate documentation. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic setting with proficiency in chairside assisting and dental terminology. Familiarity with EMR systems. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely following radiation safety protocols; experience with 3D scanners is a plus. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, anatomy knowledge, and sterilization procedures. Excellent communication skills as a Dental Receptionist or front desk support are advantageous for patient interactions. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training.
