KNOW HOW TO SCAN , PACK CORD & MAKE TEMP CROWNS + BASIC DENTAL ASSISTING DUTIES.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure infection control, and support the delivery of high-quality patient care across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. Experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, and Epic is preferred. The role requires a thorough understanding of dental terminology, medical documentation, and HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality and compliance. This position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment focused on patient health and comfort. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric treatments Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies using aseptic techniques Take and develop X-rays and medical imaging while ensuring radiation safety protocols are followed Record vital signs and update medical records accurately within EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Provide chairside assistance using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency Maintain infection control standards by sterilizing instruments and adhering to OSHA guidelines Educate patients on post-treatment care and dental health practices Manage medical documentation including coding procedures for insurance claims and recordkeeping Support the dental reception team by scheduling appointments and managing patient flow when needed Keep up-to-date with advances in dental technology such as 3D scanners and other digital imaging tools Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred Proficiency with EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic is advantageous Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, medical coding, and medical terminology is required Experience with pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, or general dentistry is a plus Familiarity with dental assisting techniques including aseptic procedures, anatomy knowledge, vital signs measurement, and infection control protocols Certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or equivalent credential is required Strong understanding of dental terminology and medical documentation practices is essential for success in this role
