Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and care. Take dental X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort. Manage patient record with Dentrix, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collect medical history information from patients to assist with diagnosis and treatment planning. Provide excellent customer service, answering patient inquiries, and managing documentation efficiently. Support the dental team with tasks like updating medical records, and documenting procedures accurately. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote overall oral health and wellness. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Proficiency in dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, taking X-rays Familiarity with Dentrix, and documentation. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and experience supporting pediatric patients is highly desirable. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Certification in dental assisting or related field preferred; ongoing training in medical terminology, endodontics, prosthodontics, or pediatrics is a plus.
