Receptionist Position Description:
Well-established dental office is looking for an individual with excellent communication skills. This position requires someone who likes to work with people and knows how to provide excellent customer service. We are looking for someone who is self-sufficient, able to multi-task and takes pride in helping people.
Key Responsibilities:
Greeting patients with a smile Answering telephone; multiple lines at a time Confirm appointments Schedule and manage appointment book Follow up on missed appointments Collecting payments Registering patients and creating new charts Managing charts; pulling and filing Assist patients with paperwork when needed Case Presentation; Educate patients that dental health leads to a better quality of life Discuss insurance coverage, cost of services and financial options with the patient Verify insurance benefits Follow up with patients about pending treatment Assist office with account management
Requirements:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills A minimum of a High School Diploma Ability to multitask and meet deadlines Experience as a dental assistant is a plus Has Knowledge of Dentrix is a plus
Dental Assistant Description:
We are looking for a competent dental assistant who will make the dentist's office more efficient and pleasant for patients. You'll ensure excellent customer service and lift administrative and basic dental tasks off the dentist's shoulders. Dental assistants should be well-organized with great attention to detail. You should be able to follow instructions and respect dental office regulations. We want you to be skilled in providing direct or indirect patient care and able to make office procedures as smooth as possible. Responsibilities Welcome customers in the dental office Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Schedule appointments Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures Skills No previous dental assistant knowledge required, we will train you from the ground up Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA)
