The ideal candidate will support the clinical team by providing exceptional chairside assistance, managing patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily dental procedures. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, technical skills, and patient communication are essential. Prior experience with EMR systems and familiarity with various dental specialties such as pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics will be highly valued. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, and prosthodontics. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools. Manage patient records using EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic while maintaining HIPAA compliance for patient confidentiality. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout procedures. Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination. Educate patients on dental procedures, post-treatment care, and oral health maintenance. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing medical documentation and records. Ensure the clinic adheres to all safety standards including infection control and proper handling of dental materials. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental clinic setting. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices. Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely and accurately; certification in radiography preferred. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry procedures and pediatric patient management is a plus. Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and sterilization protocols. Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is preferred; ongoing education in dental specialties such as endodontics or prosthodontics is advantageous.
