The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting procedures, excellent communication skills, and a passion for providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Assistant, you will support dentists during various procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the smooth operation of the dental practice. Your expertise in dental terminology, infection control, and chairside assisting will contribute significantly to delivering high-quality dental services in a welcoming environment. Responsibilities Assist dentists during clinical procedures, including chairside support and preparation of treatment areas. Take dental X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems in Eaglesoft, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials while adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and dental procedures using clear and professional communication. Monitor vital signs and medical history documentation to ensure patient safety before treatments. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology across specialties such as prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry to facilitate effective communication within the team. Experience Knowledge of infection control standards and aseptic techniques within a dental clinic setting. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical coding, and medical records management for comprehensive documentation. Experience supporting chairside assisting in various specialties such as prosthodontics or endodontics is desirable. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism. Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
