Job Description
Our Orthodontic Department is seeking an Orthdontic Assistant to join our team for some Tuesdays. We are looking for someone reliable, kind, and a teamplayer.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the orthodontist with various procedures and treatments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Take and record vital signs of patients
- Perform patient assessments and document findings
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes
- Assist with dental receptionist duties as needed
- Follow aseptic technique to ensure a clean and safe environment
Skills:
- Proficient in taking and developing dental x-rays
- Knowledge of dental systems and terminology
- Familiarity with medical records management
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
- Ability to accurately take and record vital signs
- Strong patient assessment skills
- Excellent medical documentation skills
- Experience as a dental receptionist is a plus
- Ability to maintain a clean and sterile environment using aseptic technique This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team.
