In this energetic position, you will support dentists during procedures, ensure a smooth clinical workflow, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient confidentiality. Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring efficient workflow. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques in accordance with infection prevention management policies. Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging systems such as dental x-ray units and 3D scanners, ensuring patient safety and accurate diagnostics. Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic to document patient histories, treatment plans, and medical documentation accurately. Perform vital signs assessments and review medical history to support comprehensive patient care while adhering to HIPAA regulations for clinical confidentiality policies. Support dental reception duties by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and coordinating patient flow seamlessly within the clinic environment. Maintain strict infection control standards through proper dental sterilization procedures, instrument processing, and healthcare infection prevention practices. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, dental terminology, oral surgery support, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Familiarity with digital imaging tools such as dental X-ray equipment and 3D scanners. Strong understanding of EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for efficient medical documentation management. Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and clinical confidentiality policies to protect patient information at all times. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining infection prevention standards using aseptic techniques. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals.
