• Part-time Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice.

The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, supporting the dental team, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Prior experience with various dental procedures and familiarity with modern dental technology is highly preferred. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, maintaining strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Take and develop X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring proper patient positioning and safety measures. Record vital signs and medical history using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic while ensuring HIPAA compliance. Manage medical documentation and records accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems. Provide chairside assistance during procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort. Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care, and oral hygiene practices. Assist with medical imaging procedures and ensure proper handling of medical coding for billing purposes. Support the dental receptionist in scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and ensure all equipment is properly sterilized and functioning. Skills Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; experience with medical documentation and records management. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality. Experience with X-ray procedures, including 3D scanning technology, and general dentistry practices. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry procedures and pediatric patient management. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently using four-handed dentistry methods while maintaining high standards of patient care. Competence in taking vital signs, medical imaging, and understanding of medical terminology relevant to dental practice. Experience working within a dental clinic environment with proficiency in medical coding for billing purposes is advantageous. This position requires a professional who is detail-oriented, compassionate towards patients of all ages—including pediatrics—and committed to maintaining the highest standards of clinical excellence. Prior experience in dental assisting combined with technical proficiency will be highly valued for success in this role.
