We are a private, established, pediatric/orthodontic practice located in Escondido. Our orthodontic portion of our practice has grown considerably in the last couple of years and we recently expanded the size of our office to meet the demands. We are looking for a committed and energetic clinical assistant who is positive, outgoing, and self-motivated. Our orthodontic assistants are responsible for assisting the doctor in various appointments to ensure that patients have an enjoyable and efficient orthodontic experience. We are currently looking for someone to join our team and the position hours are flexible. Job Requirements OA Permit/Certification or RDA with Ortho experience Detail oriented Maintain a professional manner and appearance at all times Orthodontic clinical assisting experience preferred X-ray certified Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting Extended period of standing or sitting Ability to handle confidential information. Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) -preferred Job Functions Work chair side with patients Assist doctor in placing and removing orthodontic appliances Perform basic orthodontic procedures (retying wires, preparingteeth for bonding, etc) Taking digital X-rays and scanning using the iTero scanner Providepatient education Maintain and manage patient flow Assist and maintain proper healthandsafety protocols Communicate to patient or parent/guardian Detailed and accurate patientcharting Sterilization of instruments and maintenance of dental auxiliaries Other duties as required We operate using Dolphin/Dentrix software but will train if not familiar with either program. We are also willing to train the right fit candidate if you are lacking in some of the above experience however candidates must have some dental assisting experience or education whether in a program or on the job.
Pay:
$22.00 - $35.00 per hour
