Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly contribute to delivering exceptional patient care. In this vital role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring a smooth flow of daily operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, friendly clinic dedicated to improving oral health. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use following strict infection control protocols. Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, providing chairside support with precision and care. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners and traditional radiography equipment while maintaining proper aseptic techniques. Manage patient records efficiently within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, dental procedures, and medical coding. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort before, during, and after treatments to ensure safety and well-being. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care using clear dental terminology tailored to pediatric or general dentistry needs. Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient flow to optimize clinic productivity. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with pediatric dentistry or general dentistry practices. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and maintaining infection control standards. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical documentation and records. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy related to oral structures, and medical terminology relevant to dental procedures. Experience with medical imaging tools like 3D scanners or X-ray equipment is advantageous. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency and patient comfort. Join us in making a difference through compassionate care!
