In this vital role, you will combine clinical assistance with front desk responsibilities, ensuring exceptional patient care and efficient administrative workflows. Your multitasking skills and attention to detail will be key in managing patient interactions, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and maintaining accurate medical records. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a fast-paced healthcare setting while making a positive impact on patients' oral health journeys. Duties Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft Schedule appointments efficiently, manage patient flow, and coordinate follow-up visits using dental office management software Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing instruments, taking X-rays, and ensuring patient comfort Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and handle billing using Meditech, Epic, or Athenahealth platforms Review medical documentation for accuracy and completeness, including care plans and treatment notes in compliance with HIPAA regulations Manage medical records and ensure proper filing of dental charts and administrative documents Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette, address patient inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service Perform administrative tasks such as data entry (10 key typing), filing, and maintaining office supplies to support daily clinic operations Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic or medical office environment is highly preferred Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar platforms such as Meditech or Athenahealth Strong knowledge of dental terminology, CPT coding (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for diagnoses and procedures, and medical billing practices Familiarity with insurance verification processes including Medicare and other third-party payers Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations Previous experience in front desk duties such as scheduling, intake procedures, and handling multi-line phones enhances your fit for this role Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards ensures confidentiality of patient information at all times Join us to be part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering top-quality dental care while supporting patients through compassionate service and efficient administrative support.
