Job Description

Overview Looking for a full time Dental Assistant/Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! This energetic role offers the opportunity to work closely with patients and the dental team, providing chairside assistance, patient care, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. You will utilize your expertise in dental procedures, medical documentation, and infection control to create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their treatment. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans when applicable, ensuring accuracy and patient safety Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix; document treatment details accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and well-being Provide comprehensive chairside assistance by handling dental terminology, assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques, and managing dental supplies efficiently Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls as a dental receptionist, and maintaining organized medical documentation and records Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including X-ray procedures, vital signs measurement, and infection control protocols Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry and pediatrics Experience with EMR systems like Dentrix, or Epic for managing medical records and documentation Ability to perform medical coding accurately for billing purposes in general dentistry or specialized fields like prosthodontics or endodontics Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices and working with children to create a comfortable environment Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection prevention standards within a busy dental clinic setting Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the dental team and provide outstanding patient care Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a difference! $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
