!!! Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. This position requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional dental services. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are available. Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols. Record and maintain accurate medical documentation, including patient histories and vital signs. Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow within the office. Support pediatric dentistry procedures with specialized knowledge in child care techniques. Collaborate with team members to improve office systems and enhance patient experience. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus. Familiarity with X-Ray technology and ability to perform vital sign assessments. Understanding of infection control standards in a dental setting. Experience with prosthodontics or general dentistry is advantageous. Proficiency in medical documentation systems, including Epic or similar software. Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the dental field.
