Employee discounts Health insurance Opportunity for advancement We are seeking a full time Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to support our office Monday thru Friday. The ideal candidate should be reliable, have a positive attitude, posses good communication skills and enjoy working as a team in order to ensure the office and provider's day runs smoothly.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for assisting the dentist in the clinical treatment of patients Set up treatment rooms for procedures Great and escort patients to treatment room Show care and concern, help patients feel comfortable and ensure patients are always attended to Obtain and review health histories according to office protocol Anticipate and assist dentist's needs Perform RDA functions and other tasks as assigned by the dentist Ensure proper treatment notes are recorded in patient's chart Keep operatories ready, stocked and clean according to OSHA regulations Sterilize all instruments and handpieces according to OSHA regulations Promptly send out and monitor all dental laboratory cases Monitor inventory and order dental office supplies as needed Help in other areas of the office when necessary (i.e., answering phones, scheduling patients, verifying dental benefits, etc.)
PERSONNEL REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent Graduate of accredited dental assisting program or dental assisting experience preferred Compliance with state dental practice requirements (e.g., x-ray requirements, OSHA training) Computer skills-Dentrix is a Plus Good interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, and other staff members Effective verbal skills to communicate with patients and staff
