The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support during orthodontic procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of orthodontic terminology, chairside assisting, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The Orthodontic Assistant will assist the orthodontist with various tasks, ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care in a comfortable setting. Responsibilities Assist the orthodontist during procedures, including placing and removing braces and other orthodontic appliances. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterile and ready for use. Take patient X-rays and perform medical imaging as needed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and care for orthodontic appliances. Manage appointment scheduling and assist with administrative tasks as needed, including medical documentation and maintaining patient records. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols to maintain patient confidentiality and safety. Qualifications Must be able to work some some Thursday's and Fridays Excellent time management A fast learner Experience in taking radiographs, photos, intraoral scanning Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of dental and orthodontic procedures and treatment plans. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities. Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with colleagues.
