In this energetic role, you will support dentists in providing top-quality patient care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and maintaining a welcoming environment. Your expertise in dental procedures, patient communication, and infection control will help create positive experiences for every patient. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting dedicated to improving smiles and boosting confidence. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly using aseptic techniques. Assist dentists during various procedures such as restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry by handing instruments and managing dental materials. Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when necessary, while adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. Manage patient records efficiently using EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes. Provide chairside assistance by explaining procedures to patients, taking vital signs, and ensuring their comfort throughout visits. Support front desk operations as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and updating medical documentation. Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment following infection control standards to promote safety for patients and staff alike. Qualifications - Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) Must hold a current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license issued by the Dental Board of California Active CPR/BLS certification (American Heart Association or equivalent) Certification in Infection Control , Radiation Safety , and Coronal Polishing (as required by California regulations) Valid Dental X-Ray License in the state of California Minimum 3 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Registered Dental Assistant in a general or specialty dental practice Strong knowledge of chairside assisting, four-handed dentistry, and dental procedures (restorative, surgical, and prosthetic workflows) Proficiency with dental software systems (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar) and digital imaging Excellent communication and patient care skills, with a professional and compassionate demeanor Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment while maintaining attention to detail Strong understanding of OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards Reliable, punctual, and a team-oriented mindset
Preferred:
Experience assisting in implant surgery, full-arch restorations (All-on-X), or cosmetic dentistry Bilingual (English/Vietnamese or Spanish) is a plus
Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
