Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists during patient procedures, manage clinical operations, and ensure a smooth, efficient experience for every patient. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their treatment. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for procedures. Assist dentists during various treatments, including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures. Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging technology such as 3D scanners while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA privacy standards. Manage patient records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft, ensuring all medical documentation is complete and compliant. Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology confidently and supporting four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency. Monitor vital signs and assist with infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to maintain a safe clinical environment. Support the dental reception team by managing appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out processes, and answering patient inquiries professionally. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental assisting procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, along with experience using Epic or similar medical documentation platforms. Strong understanding of infection control standards, aseptic technique, and sterilization processes. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding related to dental procedures. Ability to perform X-ray imaging accurately while following safety protocols for radiation exposure. Experience supporting pediatric dentistry is highly desirable, along with knowledge of pediatrics-specific care practices. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and provide compassionate patient care.
