Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist with various clinical and administrative tasks, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the practice. Responsibilities Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready for use. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records using Eaglesoft software, ensuring all information is up-to-date and organized. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Schedule appointments and manage the front desk as needed, including handling patient inquiries. Assist in various dental specialties including general dentistry, endodontics, and prosthodontics as required. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assistant program is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and dental procedures. Proficiency in using Eaglesoft or similar dental management software is advantageous. Previous experience in dental assisting or as a dental receptionist is preferred but not mandatory. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn new skills in the field of dentistry.
