Job Description

Under the direction of the Medical Director, the Lead Dental Assistant oversees the daily operations of the dental clinics front and back-office functions. The Lead Dental Assistant coordinates administrative workflows, supports supervision of dental auxiliary and clerical staff, ensures efficient patient scheduling and clinic flow, prepares required operational reports, and assists in implementing clinic policies and procedures. The position will start immediately upon acceptance and employment clearance and is initially funded through 12/31/26 with possibility of extension.

Position is part time working 8am - 4:30 pm, 3 to 4 days per week.

$28/
HR Qualifications:
Clinic Operations Performs all duties of a Dental Assistant, as needed. Oversees daily front and back-office operations to ensure efficient patient flow and continuity of services. Assists with patient registration and scheduling as needed to support clinic operations. Orders and maintains inventory of office materials, supplies, and forms. Assists in resolving patient complaints and service concerns. Serves as a point of contact for the dental clinic and coordinates communication with facility Administration and other departments. Staff Coordination Assists the Medical Director in coordinating and monitoring the work of dental auxiliary and clerical staff. Delegates work-related tasks to receptionists and dental assistants as appropriate. Conducts or assists with staff meetings. Assists in the orientation of new employees. Reporting and Compliance Prepares statistical, productivity, and other required reports for Administration. Provides input into performance evaluations of dental assistants and clerical staff as requested. Performs all other duties as assigned.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Completion of a Dental Assistant vocational curriculum in an approved school -OR- One year's experience as a dental assistant.
MUST HAVE PEDIATRIC EXPERIENCE LICENSE
A Radiation Safety License issued by the Dental Board of California -OR- A certificate of compliance from an approved Board course in radiation safety.
