DENTAL ASSISTANT
About Us Digital Smiles unique, exceptional Dental Assistants are the life-blood of the company and the core of our mission of Healthier Mouths through Digital Dentistry in Southern California. Our Dental Assistants assist their doctors with all phases of digital dentistry, made even more enjoyable by our cutting-edge practice technology and unique collaboration with in house specialists. You will work with our team of assistants, hygienists and doctors to support cohesiveness and continuity of care. And you will participate in our aggressive professional growth and development program to assure that you become the best version of yourself. Together, we'll be making dentistry more fun and less painful. Values Every person in our company shares these innate values that they express everyday:
TEAMWORK
makes the dream work We surprise you by going
ABOVE AND BEYOND
When we say it, we are RELIABLE and we do it! We
INNOVATE
by trying new things A Day in the Life As a Dental Assistant at Digital Smiles, a typical day might include the following: Arriving at 8:00 to huddle with your team to celebrate yesterday's wins, address the opportunities, and prepare for today's patients. You walked in prepared and ready! Welcoming a new patient and then helping them to discover what's inside their mouth after taking a CT, Bite Wings and Digital Pictures. An emergency walks in and you help the doctor get down to the cause of the problem. Helping the hygienist gathering records and probings for a recall hygiene patient. Starting an Aligner Ortho case by scanning the mouth and sending to our in-house orthodontist. Gathering records for a complex case on the CT and Scans with our Oral Surgeon and Smile Lab. Get ready for a once a week meeting with our Regional Manager to discuss your individual Key Performance Indicators and how you can be better yourself. This position might be for you if: You love the never ending list of fun things to do in sunny Southern California. You want to learn to communicate with patients without the pressure of "
SELLING DENTISTRY.
" You understand that case acceptance doesn't necessarily happen today, but rather over time with a quality relationship in place first. You believe in getting better every day. You love to have fun and you have tons of energy, and you share both with your team and patients. You are competitive, both with yourself and others, as it contributes to your growth and ability to deliver your "gift" of dentistry. You are self-driven and will take initiative to improve processes to make Digital Smiles better. You love people and seek to develop lasting relationships with your patients and your team. This job isn't for you if: You resist change and believe that the "way things have always been done" is always the best path. You are looking for a short term job. You like to sit around and watch paint dry, or simply "punch the clock." You plan to make patients wait around. What Winning Looks Like How we will measure your performance: It ain't perfect, but the production of dentistry (in dollars) really aligns with how well you are delivering care to the population. We will be measuring your performance daily, weekly, monthly, etc and expect you to be comfortable with this and have a continual desire to improve your outcomes. We measure patient satisfaction scores specific to every provider, and we will be asking patients if they trust you and if they want to return after meeting you. Our success as an industry is directly ties to how well our patients feel that we've met their needs, and we expect you to do everything in your power to make this work. % of appointment that start late, because we value the time of our customers! Deal Breakers Deal Breakers (If these don't fly, don't apply…. And please don't lie): You must love Digital Dentistry. You must love to work with Our Specialists in providing complex treatment. You must desire the best for everyone around you.
Summary:
To land this gig, we really need you to have experience with (or the desire to learn) taking CT's, PA's, BWX's and Digital Photos. Experience in assisting chair side is a big plus. Working with our Orthodontist and Oral Surgeon when needed. If you don't fit the description above, you won't like working with us, but if the shoe fits you can expect a life-changing experience that will change your perspective on your career.
