Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our dental professionals. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your expertise in chairside assisting, dental procedures, and patient communication. As an RDA, you'll contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere while ensuring clinical excellence and adherence to all safety standards. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies while maintaining strict aseptic technique and infection control protocols Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans, ensuring accurate positioning and safety compliance with HIPAA regulations Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, documenting treatment details accurately and securely in accordance with HIPAA standards Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient health status before, during, and after procedures Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist and managing medical documentation and records Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care instructions, and answer questions related to dental terminology and procedures Qualifications Valid license or certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in accordance with state regulations Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with proficiency in chairside assisting and dental assisting techniques Strong knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, anatomy, dental terminology, and medical terminology Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; experience with Epic or other medical documentation platforms is a plus Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely while adhering to radiation safety standards Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and team members Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering outstanding dental care!
