Job Summary As a Dental Assistant to play a critical roll in the success of any dental team you chose to join but at coming to our family, our dental office we understand and know that you are looking for an environment where you can succeed. Our full time team members work 4 days per week and we will provide training to help you feel confident assisting our doctor in all general restorative procedures. Team members will have plenty of opportunities for personal development including learning new procedures and stepping into leadership rolls as the practice continues to grow. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure infection control protocols are followed, and support the delivery of high-quality dental care across various specialties including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and orthodontics. This role offers an opportunity to work in a modern dental clinic utilizing advanced technology such as 3D scanners and electronic health records systems. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in maintaining a smooth workflow and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, prosthodontic, endodontic, and pediatric treatments Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained Take and develop dental X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans, adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality Record vital signs and medical history information accurately within EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic Manage medical documentation and records with precision, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other privacy standards Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed Perform chairside assisting using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and current infection control protocols Assist with medical imaging procedures and monitor patient comfort throughout treatments Ensure all clinical areas are sterile and organized according to infection control guidelines Qualifications Proven experience in dental assisting within a general dentistry or specialty practice; pediatric dentistry experience is a plus Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft Knowledge of HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and data security Familiarity with dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently using four-handed dentistry methods Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail This position offers an engaging work environment dedicated to providing outstanding patient care through skilled assistance and teamwork.
